A range of high-performance compounds to meet your needs

For over 60 years, Millennium has led the way in polyurethane processing—and we’ve never looked back. Our legacy is built on innovation, precision, and a deep commitment to solving our customers’ toughest challenges. We specialize in tailoring the right urethane formulations to meet the specific demands of each application.

By partnering with top-tier chemical suppliers, we’ve developed compounds that thrive in the most extreme environments—from high-speed roller coasters to 85-ton steel manipulators. Whether you're looking for durability, performance, or custom-engineered solutions, Millennium offers a full spectrum of compounds and chemistries to get the job done right.

Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI)

TDI and newer low-free TDI formulations offer excellent dynamic properties, making them well-suited for a wide range of tire, wheel, and bushing applications. Whether based on polyether or polyester, TDI prepolymers are known for their high tensile strength, superior tear resistance, and strong abrasion resistance. These characteristics make them ideal for demanding environments where durability and performance are critical.

Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate (MDI)

MDI is a versatile isocyanate known for its outstanding physical properties, including excellent cut and tear strength, low compression set, and strong resistance to grease and oil. It can be extended with either polyether or polyester polyols to achieve reliable performance across a wide range of durometers.

MDI-based systems are commonly used in a variety of wheel and tire applications, including skateboard wheels and escalator/elevator wheels, where durability and resilience are critical.

Napthalene Diisocyanate (NDI)

Originally developed decades ago, NDI elastomers remain widely regarded as a premium-performance solution for the most demanding applications. They combine the elasticity of ether-based materials with the toughness of ester-based systems, offering a unique balance of flexibility and durability.

NDI is a proven choice in applications requiring exceptionally high wear resistance along with superior mechanical and dynamic load-bearing capacity. Its long-standing track record makes it ideal for industries where performance and reliability are non-negotiable.

Para-phenylene Diisocyanate (PPDI)

PPDI is a specialty isocyanate originally developed by DuPont to deliver superior dynamic properties in the most demanding environments. It can be combined with polyethers, polyesters, and polycaprolactones to achieve exceptional performance in wheels and rollers.

Thanks to its low hysteresis energy, PPDI-based systems are ideally suited for high-speed applications—such as roller coaster wheels—where heat buildup and energy loss must be minimized. While NDI continues to play an important role in many applications, we often find that PPDI delivers the highest level of performance available today.
